Growing up in Medicine Hat, Scott Mitchell knew from a young age that radio is what he wanted to do. He loved talking and pushing people’s buttons. It was a match made in heaven.
He got his start behind-the-scenes at a radio station there in high school. They eventually let him on the air, and after moves to Saskatoon and Lac La Biche, he found his way to Camrose, and has loved every minute of it since!
Off the air, Scott doubles as an Assistant Program Director for the Stingray Rural Alberta stations, is gameday host for both the Camrose Kodiaks and Camrose Bruins, and is an active member of the Camrose Kinsmen Club.
Outside of all that, you’ll find him at the gym, around a fire, or watching his beloved (yet aggravating) Leafs. He also enjoys a good Netflix binge (how DARE Outer Banks do what they did at the end of Season 4), a delicious beer, and walking his dog, Reese, around Mirror Lake.
He may not ever sleep, the jury is still deliberating. But one thing’s for sure, he’s always up early to have a coffee or 4 with you!
